Admir grew up in Kosovo before moving to New York City at age 8. During his first week, he found a soccer field and joined the Manhattan Kickers FC. After an accomplished youth career, Admir currently coaches for MKFC along with Born Kickers.
David grew up in Queens, playing for some of the names in NYC soccer: BW Gottschee, MLK High School, and the NY Cosmos. He currently plays for the Cosmos professional team!
Elvedin was raised in Brooklyn and has played soccer his whole life. He coaches for MKFC as well as Born Kickers, focusing on the youngest ages. Elvedin is a big fan of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Evan’s been coaching soccer in New York City since 2003. He is the President of the Manhattan Kickers FC and along with Tom Hatton, the founder of Born Kickers. His daughter Skylar is the first player to wear the Born Kickers uniform!
Since the age of seven in his native country of Trinidad and Tobago, Kashif played soccer every day in the streets. Kashif now has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and has since coached with MKFC and Born Kickers since 2016.
Kevin is a native of Bridgeport, CT where he first began to play soccer. In college, he was a team manager for Williams College Women’s Soccer team. His soccer idol Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp.
Maddie is from California and played at NYU. Currently, along with coaching, she attends graduate school at Columbia University.
Marquel is from Northern California and has been playing soccer since middle school. She was a three-sport athlete in high school (field hockey, soccer, and track) and ran track and played soccer at NYU. She graduated in 2018 and currently works at NBC Universal, while playing, watching, and coaching soccer in her free time.
From Brooklyn, Martin is a professional player who has spent time in the European leagues. Currently, Martin plays for New Amsterdam FC.
Mamud was born in New York City and played for MLK High School, along with Manhattan Kickers and Soccer Club. His parents are from Guinea, on the West Coast of Africa.
Rafi is currently a senior at St. Johns and member of the varsity squad where he won the Big East Defensive Player of the week in the fall 2019 season. Rafi started his soccer with the Kickers!
Coach Carter grew up playing for Manhattan Kickers FC, from age 4-13, before moving on to BW Gottschee, Red Bulls, and then a Division I college career at Loyola University and Rider University. Back in NYC, Sam is happy to be on the field as a coach while he plans for opportunities abroad.
Sergio is a former Manhattan Kickers FC player. He currently plays goalkeeper for BW Gottschee’s U19 team and will be attending Molloy College in the fall of 2019, to study Criminal Justice.
Shakeel fell in love with the beautiful game of soccer at a very young age in his native Trinidad & Tobago. Moving to Brooklyn in his teens, he played youth soccer for the Brooklyn Patriots and Brooklyn Italians, and travelled across the country.
